Pre- Qualification Announced
AROMATICS PLANT
The Petrochemical Industries Limited (PIC) is in the process of qualifying international contractors for a grass root Aromatics Complex to be erected and constructed at the Shuaiba Industrial Area in Kuwait, based on processing 2.5 Million ton per annum to full range Naphtha feed for the production of Paraxylene and Benzene. The start up of the Aromatics Plant is scheduled for 2007.
As a pre-requisite of this qualification, only those international engineering, procurement and contracting companies that have carried out EPC services in lump sum turnkey basis for at least one single successfully commissioned grass root project outside their country of origin over the past 10 years, having the same characteristics as Refineries and/or Petrochemical Plants and having a total project installed value of not less
than five and hundred million U.S. Dollars (500 Million US $).
All reputable interests international Contractors are lived their qualification documents based on the pre-qualification inquiry requirements requested by PIC which can be obtained from central Tender Committee State of Kuwait starting as November 2,2003 of for a nominal none refundable fee of Fifty Kuwaiti Dinars (KD 50). The last date for submitting the documents for pre-qualification is January 3,2004.
